In last session, we spoke briefly about the importance of eating foods that have a low glycemic load. The glycemic index has also had a lot of media attention so we need to look at what the difference is between the GI and GL.

Here is a list of the GI and GL of over 100 common foods. It may be helpful to reference this list, particularly when looking at snacks.

In the next session, I’m going to share my favourite tool that I use all of the time to work out the GL of whole recipes.
